This 1961 run Pacific Fast Mail model train was imported and built by Toby in Japan. The box has very little wear, but the original foam has been discarded. It's been recently serviced, with the old gearbox grease removed and replaced, and a new drive tube installed. It's custom - painted with the number 5632, though the paint shows some chips and wear (check the photos). Despite signs of moderate use, it's an excellent model with great detail and solid build quality. Brand: Brass PFM - Toby. Condition: C - 6 Very Good. There's some wheel wear, but no wear through the driver plating. The motor/gearbox makes moderate noise (5 out of 10). It runs well. It has an Open Frame Motor (OFM). The cab is an All - Weather type with no interior detail. The custom paint of number 5632 looks good but shows wear. It's controlled by analog - DC only and has an operating headlight. There's a Kadee coupler on the tender and a closed coupler door on the locomotive pilot. It comes in the original box with a replacement foam cut by the owner. Using your model train is easy. Just connect it to a compatible analog - DC power source and watch it run on your track. The operating headlight will add a nice touch to your setup. When handling the train, be gentle as it's a delicate item, especially with the brass parts. To maintain it, keep it in a dry and clean place to prevent rust and damage. Periodically, check the wheel wear. If you notice any excessive wear, it might be time to replace the wheels. The motor and gearbox were recently serviced, but you can listen for any changes in the noise level. If the noise becomes too loud or irregular, it could indicate a problem. When it comes to storage, use the original box with the replacement foam to protect it from bumps and scratches. And don't forget, if you're not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days for a full refund (you'll just need to cover the return shipping unless it arrived damaged).
