Using this HO scale brass model train is easy. First, make sure it's connected to a proper analog DC power source. Since it doesn't have lighting, you won't need to worry about extra power settings for that. When you start it up, you'll notice it runs smoothly with minimal noise. As for maintenance, it's a good idea to keep it in a clean and dry place. You can periodically check the wheel wear, but as it currently has minimal wear, it should be fine for a while. If you want to keep it in top - notch condition, like the recent service it had, you can clean out the gearbox lube every so often and replace it. Be careful when handling the model because it's a delicate item. When it comes to the couplers, if you want to install one on the tender, you can use the existing mounting screws. Just remember, if you're shipping it back to us for any reason, you'll be responsible for the return shipping costs, unless the item arrived damaged.
