This is a limited - edition HO scale brass model train set from 1982 - 1983. It was imported by Oriental Limited and built by Kumata in Japan. The original boxes and foam show very little wear. The previous owner removed the Kumata drives and replaced them with Ajin drive trucks, drivelines, and Buehler motors (check the photos). The conversion work is decent, and the models run smoothly. The paint finish has a bit of rough texture and decal film, but overall, it's in fair - to - good condition. The models come with diaphragms between units and glazing in the windows. Both units are equipped with ESU LokSound v. 3.5 DCC and Sound, but they're DCC - only, not for DC - Analog operation. The A unit is in C - 5 Good condition, and the B unit is in C - 6 Very Good condition. Wheel wear is moderate, and each unit has minimal motor/gearbox noise (3 out of 10). The motors are upgraded Can Motors. Only the A unit has a full cab interior. The paint on both units has texture issues, and they're decorated with road numbers 6002 (A) and 5912 (B). The control is digital DCC with both addresses set to 3. The A unit has a working headlight. Both units are fitted with Kadee couplers at the front and rear. They come in their original boxes and foam. We offer free domestic USA shipping for purchases over $199. Flat shipping rates are based on item value or weight, and all items are fully insured. Using this model train set is easy. First, make sure you have a DCC - compatible power source since these are DCC - only models. Set the power source to the address 3 which is already set for both units. When starting the train, gradually increase the power to avoid sudden movements. For maintenance, regularly check the wheels for any debris or excessive wear. If you notice any dirt on the wheels, gently clean them with a soft cloth. The motors don't require much maintenance, but if you hear an unusual increase in noise, it might be a sign of a problem. When it comes to storage, keep the train in its original box and foam to protect it from dust and damage. And remember, since it's a delicate brass model, handle it with care to prevent any accidental dents or scratches.
