This is a 1966 imported Pacific Fast Mail model built by Atlas Industries in Japan. The box shows significant shelf wear, with taped sides and a very worn label. The top foam insert has been replaced. The model is painted and numbered 250. The paint and weathering are in fair - good condition, showing signs of moderate use. It represents the former Uintah Railway 2 - 6 - 6 - 2T's that were sold to the Sumpter Valley Railroad in 1939 and converted from a tank mallet to a conventional mallet with a tender.

Using this HOn3 scale brass locomotive model is easy. It runs on analog DC power, so just connect it to a compatible power source. When operating, be aware that it may make some motor and gearbox noise, which is normal for this type of model.
For storage, keep it in the original box with the foam insert to protect it from damage. Since it has some plating wear on the wheels, try to avoid rough handling that could cause further wear.
When it comes to maintenance, you can use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the body and remove any dust. Don't use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as they could damage the paint and weathering. If you notice any issues during operation, such as unusual noises or a change in running performance, stop using it and check for loose parts or other problems. And remember, this model is a collectible and fragile item, so handle it with care at all times.
