In 1977, Atlas Industries in Japan imported this 'Hi - Grade' Pacific Fast Mail model. The box has only a little shelf wear. It's an improved version compared to previous runs. The details and backhead are still sealed in a bag. Virtually every railroad once owned this locomotive. These engines were used right after delivery and also underwent heavy modifications. They were still in use until the 50s when diesels replaced them. A really cool feature is the working journal box covers on the trailing truck! The previous owner changed the whistle casting, but the original is included.

Using this locomotive model is easy. It operates on an analog DC - only control system, so just connect it to a compatible DC power source and you're good to go. The model runs well, but do note that it has a moderate motor and gearbox noise.
When handling the locomotive, be gentle as it's a fragile brass model. The box, foam, spare parts, and paperwork are included, so keep them together for a complete set.
For maintenance, since the wheel wear is minimal, you don't need to worry too much. Just check the wheels periodically for any signs of excessive wear. If you want to clean the model, use a soft, dry cloth to avoid scratching the unpainted surface with minimal tarnish.
Remember, the whistle casting was changed by the previous owner, but the original is included. You can decide whether to use the new one or switch back to the original. Also, if you're shipping it back for a return, follow our shipping guidelines and you'll be covered by our 30 - day, no - questions - asked money - back policy.
