This is a 1962 Pacific Fast Mail imported model train crafted by Toby in Japan. It comes in a brand - new aftermarket box with no signs of wear and features a 'pick 'n pluck' foam insert. Only 100 of these models were imported. Recently, it has been serviced. The gearbox lube was cleaned out and replaced, and a new drive tube was installed. Note that the model is missing one smoke canister on the fireman's side of the firebox, one front handrail isn't original, and a previous owner added extra weight. Despite these minor appearance issues, it's an older but well - running and very solid model. Details: Brand is Brass PFM - Toby. Part Number is N/A. Condition is C - 5 Good. Using this model train is straightforward. Just connect it to a compatible analog - DC power source to get it running. When handling the train, be gentle, especially around the non - original handrail and the area where the smoke canister is missing. For maintenance, keep it in a dry place to prevent further tarnishing. Periodically, check the gearbox to see if it needs lubrication again. You can use a soft cloth to clean the visible parts of the train. If you want to connect the lighting, it's best to consult a hobbyist or an electrician familiar with model trains. When shipping or storing, always use the provided 'pick 'n pluck' foam in the box to protect it from damage.
