Using this locomotive is quite straightforward. Since it's an analog - DC only model, you just need to connect it to a suitable DC power source to make it run. The Kadee couplers on the loco and tender make it easy to attach other train cars. When using it, keep in mind that it has a moderate drivetrain noise, but it runs smoothly overall. As for maintenance, because it was recently serviced with the old grease removed from the gearbox and new grease applied, you don't need to do that right away. However, over time, you may want to check the gearbox grease level. Also, given that it's a 60 - year - old model, be gentle when handling it to avoid any damage. And remember, if one of the tender stirrup steps is missing, just be aware of that when setting it up. When shipping or storing, rely on the bullet - proof packing to keep it safe. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, let us know within 30 days for a no - questions - asked money - back, though you'll be responsible for return shipping unless the item arrives damaged.
