Using this Tenshodo model is easy. Since it has an analog DC - only control, you just need to connect it to a proper DC power source and it should start running well. When you turn it on, you'll see the headlight light up. The model has Kadee couplers on the tender and pilot, which makes it easy to connect to other train cars.
Here are some things to keep in mind. First, although the motor and gearbox noise is moderate, don't run it at extremely high speeds for a long time as it might increase the noise. Also, since it's a brass model and quite fragile, handle it with care when taking it out of the box or connecting it to other parts.
For maintenance, because the wheel wear is minimal, you don't need to do too much. But every once in a while, use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the wheels and the body of the model. If you notice any loose parts, contact us right away. And remember, always store it in the provided box with the foam insert to keep it safe.
