This is a Cascade model built by Kumata in Japan. The box has only minimal shelf wear. It comes with spare parts and Cascade models paperwork. These 17 diners were built by ACF in 1949 and were used on all 'Cities' streamliners. In 1979, diner #4801 was sold to the D&RGW. UP still keeps one in their business/excursion fleet.

Using your HO scale brass diner model is easy and fun. You can place it on your model train track to enhance your train layout. To keep it in top shape, handle it gently as it's a fragile item. Avoid dropping it or applying too much pressure.
When it comes to maintenance, you can use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe away any dust. If there's minimal tarnish, a mild brass cleaner can be used carefully. Make sure to follow the cleaner's instructions.
During storage, keep it in the original box and foam to protect it from scratches and damage. And remember, it has no lighting or couplers, so if you want to add those features, you'll need to source the appropriate parts. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us.
