This is a 2002 run HO scale brass model imported by Overland Models, Inc. and built by Ajin Precision in Korea. The box has minimal shelf wear and comes with spare parts. It represents a bay - window caboose used by the Rock Island from 1967 - 1980, which were the last cabooses bought by the railroad. The model is factory - painted with red sides, yellow ends, and white 'Rock Island' block lettering. It has been lightly weathered, as shown in the photos. This caboose is lettered 'pool' for pool service, making it suitable for use on other railroads like the Southern Pacific and Union Pacific. Only 20 of these excellent models were made by OMI.
