This is a 2009 ConCor imported model built in China. The box shows some wear with worn corners and a scuff on the lid center. All four poles are installed. The C&NSM ElectroLiner set was later sold to Philadelphia and Western, renamed Liberty Liner, and used for commuter service. It's a smooth - running and quiet model with very little sign of use, truly a mint - condition example.
**Features**:
- Comes as a complete 4 - car train set.
- Has a full interior, including a motorman, thanks to the underfloor drive train design.
- Offers full lighting and an NMRA 8 - pin DCC ready plug. It's DCC ready (decoder not included). You can use a DigiTrax DZ143PS or a similar decoder from other brands for a function decoder. For a sound decoder, there's a location in the vestibule between the doors of the powered locomotive unit for the speaker. Any brand sound decoder that fits the available space will work.
- Shows lots of underbody detail even with the underfloor drive train.
- All 4 cars have full interiors and lighting.
- There are rubberized diaphragms between each car.
- Sprung fully operating trolley poles. It comes factory - set up for standard 2 - rail operation, but you can change the power pick - up from 2 - rail to overhead by removing the locomotive body shell and shifting a small slide switch.
- Has reversing headlights.
- Can run on a 10 - inch radius at slow speed and may run on a tighter radius depending on track quality.
- Features authentic paint colors. The paint formula is courtesy of Jim Meindl, the ElectroLiner foreman at the Illinois Railway Museum, where a fully restored ElectroLiner is located. Con - Cor even got a sample of the seat cloth from the original ElectroLiner to match on the model.

Using this HO Scale ConCor Electroliner 4 - car train set is easy. First, make sure your track is clean and properly set up. If you're using DCC, you'll need to install a decoder (not included) to control the train's functions. You can choose a DigiTrax DZ143PS or a similar one from other brands. For sound, find a suitable sound decoder that fits the space in the vestibule of the powered locomotive unit.
When starting the train, set the speed slowly, especially if you're using a tight - radius track. The train can run on a 10 - inch radius at a slow speed, and it might handle a tighter curve depending on your track quality.
Be careful when handling the train, as it's a fragile model. The box may show some wear, but the train itself is in great condition. If you want to change the power pick - up from 2 - rail to overhead, remove the locomotive body shell and shift the small slide switch.
For maintenance, keep the train clean. You can use a soft brush to remove dust from the wheels, underbody, and interior. Check the lighting regularly to ensure all bulbs are working. If you're not using the train for a long time, store it in its original box with the foam and paperwork to protect it. And remember, if you have any issues with your purchase, we're here to help with our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
