This is a 1994 run OMI - Overland Models, Inc locomotive built by Ajin Precision Mfg. in Korea. The box shows hardly any shelf wear and comes with spare parts. In 1964, SAL bought this locomotive to replace the aging E - units on passenger trains. The SDP35 is basically an SD35 with a steam generator in the extended long hood. This model seems to have been test - run only and is like new in the box. It's a very rare find as only 10 of this version were imported. A must - have for SCL modelers.

Using this HO brass OMI locomotive is easy. First, connect it to a DC - analog power source as it's designed for that type of control. Since it has no lighting, you won't have to worry about setting up any lights. And because there are no couplers installed, you can choose the couplers you like and install them according to your needs.
When it comes to handling, be gentle as it's a delicate model. The box, foam, and cardboard insert are there to protect it, so keep them safe when you're not using the locomotive. Also, since it's a brass model, it might be a bit heavier than plastic ones, so handle it with care to avoid dropping it.
For maintenance, check the wheels regularly. The wheel wear is almost none right now, but over time, you may need to clean the wheels to keep the locomotive running smoothly. You can use a soft cloth to wipe the body of the locomotive to prevent tarnish, especially since it's unpainted and has almost no tarnish currently. If you notice any noise changes or other issues, feel free to contact us. And remember, we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if anything goes wrong, we'll make it right.
