Using this HO scale brass locomotive is easy. First, make sure you've got an analog DC power source since that's the only control type it supports. Just connect it to your track and power it up to see it run. It's in great condition and runs well, but it does have a bit of motor/gearbox noise, so don't be too surprised by that.
When handling the locomotive, be gentle because it's a brass model and can be fragile. Avoid dropping it or hitting it against hard surfaces. Also, since there are no couplers installed, if you want to connect it to other cars, you'll need to install them yourself.
For maintenance, check the wheels regularly. The wheel wear is minimal right now, but keeping them clean will help it run smoothly. You can use a soft brush to clean any dirt or debris from the wheels and the locomotive body. Store it in its original box with the foam inserts when not in use to protect it from dust and potential damage. And if you have any questions during use, don't hesitate to contact the seller.
